Consumption Reports
The Consumption Reports module helps cluster admins track and analyze tenant-level resource usage, including node hours and historical consumption across the cluster.
1. Overview
Purpose
- Monitor compute allocations (GPU, CPU, memory) for each tenant.
- Understand node hours used over a specified time.
- Export data for billing, quota checks, or trend analysis.
Key Features
- Tenant-Based Reporting – Distinguish usage per tenant.
- Per-Node Aggregation – Summarize hours used on each node.
- Time-Range Filtering – Focus on a specific start/end date.
- Data Export – Download consumption records (e.g., Excel format).
2. Accessing Consumption Reports
- Select Consumption Reports in the left navigation.
- View all tenants, alongside creation date and status (Enabled/Disabled).
- Click a tenant name to see detailed consumption data.
3. Detailed View
- Tenant Page Header – Summaries of overall usage (e.g., total node hours).
- Date Range Selector – Filter usage by start/end dates.
- Consumption Table – Lists active or historical node usage, including:
- Node Name
- Configuration (GPU model, CPU cores, memory)
- Start/End Dates
- Total Hours (within selected timeframe)
4. Exporting Data
Use the Export Data button to download filtered usage records. Adjust your date range first to include only the relevant timeframe.
5. Usage Monitoring Integration
Combine Consumption Reports with Usage Monitoring to:
- Identify high-usage nodes or tenants.
- Calculate billing or quota usage.
- Recognize usage trends for capacity planning.
Next Steps
- Resource Management – Assign and monitor nodes across tenants.
- Tenant Management – Create or delete tenants and manage tenant admins.
- Cluster Monitoring – Track node health and GPU usage to ensure balanced allocation.
